CLIENT AUTHORISATION & TERMS 2025
1. I agree to provide keys/arrange for keys to be available for Precious Paws dog walking/pet sitting/visit arrangements.
2. I authorise Precious Paws to acquire any emergency care that may be necessary during time spent with my pet(s). (Every effort will be made to contact the owner prior to obtaining emergency care). I accept full responsibility for any charges related to this emergency care. I also authorise Precious Paws to use an alternative veterinarian in the event my regular veterinarian is unavailable.
3. I agree to compensate Precious Paws for any additional fees for providing emergency care, as well as any expenses incurred for unexpected visits, transportation, housing, food or supplies.
4. I understand I will be responsible for any medical expenses & damages resulting from an injury to Precious Paws staff or other persons, by the pet. I agree full liability for any losses or damage caused by my dog whilst being walked.
5. I agree to notify Precious Paws of any changes/concerns/complaints within 24hrs of any appointments.
6. I understand I must state if my pet shows aggressions in any way. I understand I must fully disclose any characteristic problems or quality which might make my dog not suitable for walks, Precious Paws will not care for pets that peril their safety or that of others.
7. I hereby grant permission for my dog to participate in group walks, unless otherwise specified. I acknowledge & understand that group walks involve simultaneous exercise & social interaction of multiple dogs under the supervision of Precious Paws. I further affirm that my dog is sociable, well-behaved , and able to interact positively with other dogs. I agree to inform Precious Paws of any known behavioural issues or health concerns that may effect their dog's ability to safely participate in group walks.
Additionally, I the Client acknowledge that while Precious Paws will exercise due diligence in maintaining a risk free/safe environment, unforeseen circumstances and inherent risks associated with group activities may arise. I release Precious Paws from any liability related to to interactions between my dog and other dogs during group walks and consent to my dog's participation with the full understanding of the risks involved.
PRECIOUS PAWSRESPONSIBILTIES
1. Precious Paws agrees to provide the services stated in this agreement in a reliable, kind & trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services and as an express condition thereof the client specifically waives and relinquishes any claims against Precious Paws, its employees, or assignments, except those occurring from the negligence of the dog walker.
2. Precious Paws accepts no responsibility for security of the premises or loss, if other individuals have access to the property during the time of this agreement. During all assignments, dog walking/sitting or visits, will only be carried out by Precious Paws owner or employees, unless pre-arranged with the Client. Precious Paws accepts no responsibility for damages to the property if other persons have access to the property.
3. All dogs will remain on his/her lead unless the Owner/Client has given written consent
4. If unforeseen circumstances do happen to occur where Precious Paws cannot attend to your pets needs, due to illness etc, you will be notified straight away.
5. Precious Paws is not responsible for damage sustained by a pet escaping because of a faulty lead/collar or a collar that is not properly fitted.
6. Precious Paws will not be liable for the injury, disappearance, death, or fines of any pet with unsupervised access to the outdoors.
7. It is clearly understood that Precious Paws shall not be held responsible for any damage to the Client's property, or that of others, caused by the Client's pets during the period in which they are in its care. The Client has advised Precious Paws of all situations, which will relieve it of liability for damage.
8. Precious Paws agree to Love & Care for your pet(s) whilst you are unable, away or at work.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Permanent Slots
If permanent days are booked each week continuously, you will be paying for the permanent slot whether it is used or not, Any cancellation will be at your discretion and will still be chargeable. - *less than 1 months notice will be charged at half rate.
Non-Permanent Slots
Infrequent walks require a minimum of 1 week notice for cancellation, less than this will remain chargeable.
PAYMENT
Invoices will be sent out 5-7 days before they are due to be paid on the 1st of each month. This can be done by Bank transfer only. Cash payments are required to be paid on a weekly basis on the first walk of the week. A reminder will be sent out on the last day of the month. If payment is late, a late charge of £2 per day should be added to your invoice.
LEADS & COLLARS
A suitable lead must be provided.
If your dog pulls excessively, please provide a lead to cater to this. If suitable leads are not provided, an appropriate lead owned by Precious Paws will be used. If you do not wish for this to happen, please inform Precious Paws
SOLO WALKS
Solo walks provide a tailored & individualised experience for your dog and this contract acknowledges the option for such one-to-one outings, I acknowledge I can request Solo Walks for my dog, during which the Precious Paws walker will exclusively focus on the specific needs, preferences & pace of my dog. Solo Walks cater to dogs who may thrive in a quieter, more personalised environment or those with specific behavioural or health considerations that benefit from undivided attention. I understand additional fees may apply for solo walks , and I commit to informing Precious Paws of any pertinent information regarding my dog's behaviour, health, or specific requirements to ensure a safe & enjoyable solo walking experience for my dog.
WEATHER CONDITIONS
Heat
When the weather is extremely hot and it's evident the dogs are struggling in the heat, our walks hour walks will be shortened accordingly. The visit will still consist of an hour in duration, however walking time may be shortened by Precious Paws to allow suitable time cooling down the dogs & making sure they are comfortable before leaving.
Rain & Wind
Walks will remain normal unless winds are gale force, in this case, owners will be informed that walks may have to be shortened in order for Precious Paws to attend all dogs booked in for walks due to traffic disruption. All reasonable effort will be made to avoid alterations to booking where possible.
ICE & SNOW
If the weather is below freezing and paths are icy, walks may be cancelled due to safety issues.
DOG WALKERS DAYS OFF
If Precious Paws staff need to take any time off due to holidays or sickness, Precious Paws assure you the Client, that reasonable notice will be provided whenever possible. During planned vacations or time off, Precious Paws will inform you 14 days in advance and collaborate with you to establish suitable substitute coverage to ensure consistent care & well-being for your pet(s). In the case of unexpected sick days, Precious Paws will make every effort to notify you at the earliest possible appropriate time
